April Challenge for Calves & Core

This month we are working on strengthening our often neglected calves. Stronger calves can:

  • Increase vertical jumping power
  • Help prevent leg injuries
  • Provide stability to the knee and ankle joints
  • Increase short sprinting speed
  • And they look good!

It is very important to stretch your calves following these workouts or they could cause more harm then benefit by causing the cavles to become tight. As we do every month we will also be working on strengthening and toning our core! People are always striving for a flatter stomach but core strength is about so much more than a six pack. A stronger core will:

  • Lower your risk of back pain
  • Improve your balance
  • Help you achieve proper posture &
  • Perform daily tasks easier
